Green Tanzurine is a variety of Quartz that gets its name and color from the addition of Copper to the crystal. Green Tanzurine is said to be a stone of good fortune and prosperity / abundance, especially in one’s career and business ventures. It is also thought to encourage spiritual growth and wisdom, as well as compassion.
Green Tanzurine is found in India and Russia. The most notable Green Tanzurine deposit is in the Ural Mountains of Russia. The copper in Green Tanzurine can sometimes fade over time, resulting in a change of color to pale green or even white.
Green Tanzurine is related to, but not the same as, Green Aventurine. Green Aventurine does not contain any Copper, so it does not have the same coloring or energy associated with Green Tanzurine.
